OffSide Writers: Let’s Get Stoned.

São Paulo 3 x 1 Juventude. One more time São Paulo won a match despite Juventude scoring a goal in the first minutes of the game. São Paulo proved to have an excellent reaction power and we definitively can call it “O Time da Virada”, something like “The Team of the Comebacks”. With a trap strategy, Cláudio Duarte (Juventude’s coach) tried to stop São Paulo´s attack by applying a strong defensive work and taking advantage of the counter-attacks. It worked, at 2′ Juventude scored in a mistake of our defenders.
That´s all they did. Juventude tried to hold on to the score, but at 31′ Miranda scored a beautiful goal for
São Paulo. On the second half, Borges scored with a header at 62′, and five minutes later Hugo received the ball from Souza and scored one more, kissing the widower and sealing the victory. Next Sunday, São Paulo will be hitting foreign field against Grêmio.
Distrusting this Championship…
As if it wasn´t enough someone to put a referee trio from Rio de Janeiro to work in São Paulo yesterday match, we also received the news that Dodô, Botafogo’s striker, was declared innocent of a doping accusation. This is ridiculous. Dodô´s blood test accused the use of femproporex and also anphetamine, and a second test confirmed the serious sportive infraction. CBF had suspended the player preventively for 30 days, but yesterday the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva, who decides these cases, set Dodô as innocent. So he can play again, he won´t be punished and, Botafogo won´t lose points.
We would like to remember that a few months ago, Alex Alves from Juventude was caught in doping case, condemned and suspended by the use of sibutramine, a simple substance if compared with Dodô´s doping results, in a case which was proved the fault of the drug lab. Now it is another situation, but a very tendencious STJD court, which includes Botafogo´s council members, decided different.
Nonsense. I think just OffSide writers are enough to follow a football matches stoned.
